It Starts With Attraction: Episode 4

The Most Important Part of Attraction for a Long-Lasting Relationship

Want to know the most important part of attraction for a long-lasting relationship? It’s simple…but it’s not necessarily easy. In this episode, Dr. Joe Beam breaks down what he has seen work in thousands of couples to build emotional attraction and create strong, healthy relationships.

When we examine emotional attraction in any established relationship, we think of this attraction in two types of actions: through things we stop doing, and by things we start doing.  Since we can’t build a relationship on what we’re not doing, it becomes more urgent to look at what we’re doing; how we’re providing for another person’s emotional needs.

The golden rule, “Do to others as you’d like them to do to you” doesn’t always hold true in emotional attraction. We’re not made to need or want the same things. We are made to build others up according to their needs, not our needs

In this episode, Dr. Joe Beam unpacks the best things you can do to become the most emotionally attractive you can be and strengthen your relationship for years to come.
